Why choose Copper Gutters over Aluminum Gutters?
Homeowners choose copper over aluminum for its beauty. As copper ages, it develops into a newer, more beautiful patina. In the right hands, the custom copper gutter project can transform your not-so-important rain gutters into a piece of artistic genius.

Just as our Aluminum Gutters, we are proud to offer the K-Style & Half Round gutters in copper. We also have custom box copper gutters and downspouts in our inventory. Based on our experience, people choose our Euro half-round system when dealing with copper. Our copper rain gutter systems, including our leaf guard (gutter screen) and seamless copper downspout, are some of the strongest products available anywhere.
Our copper material is imported from Europe and assembled here by us using the old traditional standards. What this means is that instead of using rivets we hand solder every seam to insure a more solid look. Our company is certified by the manufacture to insure that you get the best installation possible.

The beauty of copper is that its color changes over time. Copper turns different shades and colors over time when exposed to the oxygen in the atmosphere. In a normal environment, copper will turn from a shiny new penny look to dark brown within the first year. Over the next 30-75 years, copper will turn from a streaky green to a darker greenish color and eventually to a blue-green color.

The Seamless Copper Rain Gutter from San Diego Rain Gutters, is only available in one weight – HEAVY.
Made of 16 ounce copper (that’s one pound per foot) this system is designed to last a lifetime. Highly resistant to salt and airborne pollutants, copper is a popular choice for this area.

Along our beautiful ocean coast, copper quickly begins to oxidize and forms a much desired “patina” or “verdigris” look. This turquoise marbling is classic to many types of architecture. If you don’t have the patience for this natural oxidation to occur, we can apply a special chemical to hasten the patina process.

Downspouts for a copper system are traditionally rounded. However, we can also install the flat 2″ x 3″ spout, or the more decorative corrugated type. Copper leaderheads, beautiful and efficient, add an “old world” look to your system. We have twelve different leader heads from which to choose.

Why Would You Need New Gutters?
Roof water begins to compact the soil causing low areas where water collects. Doors begin to warp from the excessive water. Cement slowly starts to erode under the constant hammering of the roof water. Moisture builds up around the house and mildew forms. Rain Gutters are a simple and inexpensive way of protecting your home and landscaping investment.

Why Choose Metal Roofing?
Yes, it costs more, but ordinary roofing materials have shorter life spans than metal and will need to be replaced regularly. Properly installed, a metal roof virtually never needs to be replaced, saving you money while adding value to your residential or commercial structure. Unlike asphalt, wood, tile and cement roofing materials, a metal roof offers superior protection against the elements.
